What is the Florida Resuscitation Center for Excellence (FRCE) program?

The FRCE program aims to improve cardiac arrest outcomes by establishing a statewide network of hospitals committed to resuscitation excellence. Through attestation and EMS involvement your hospital will gain recognition for its commitment to improving cardiac arrest outcomes and advancing healthcare in Florida.

Participation is Simple!

  1. Submit an Online Interest Form

    Initiate participation by completing the brief interest form.

  2. Review Program Resources

    Download the FRCE Tool Kit for an overview of the program structure, benefits, and expectations.

  1. Collaborate Locally

    Hospital faculty will meet with their Local EMS Medical Director(s) and key departments to:

    1. Review FRCE program materials (criteria, FAQs, benefits)
    2. Secure internal support frmo the CEO approval and local EMS Medical Director for primary or comprehensive designation
  2. Submit Attestation for Resuscitation Committee Approval

    Once CEO and EMS Medical Director approval has been secured, the attestation form should be signed by both, then submitted for review and sign off by the Resuscitation Committee.

  3. Celebrate & Publicize

    Once you receive your official certification, plan a local ceremony with hospital and EMS officials. Involve County/City leaders, issue a press release, and proudly announce your hospital's commitment to resuscitation excellence!

How It Works:

  • Engagement meeting(s) with EMS Medical Director and FRCE Team.
  • Hospital completes attestation to FRCE Criteria: Primary or Comprehensive.
  • Hospital is recognized as a FRCE in public and community recognition campaigns.
